According to TV news website Digital Spy, producers of the latest Doctor Who are planning to make a Doctor Who movie:

Producers are planning to bring back Billie Piper for a Doctor Who movie, according to a report.

The decision was prompted by the realisation that the show's budget was constraining it in terms of sets and effects, according to the Daily Star.

A source told the paper that the proposed movie would also see assistant Rose Tyler, played by Piper, reunited with David Tennant.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the BBC show told Digital Spy in another article that there is "no truth whatsoever" in a reports of a Doctor Who movie that will reunite Billie Piper with David Tennant following their parting of the ways last season.

In other Doctor Who news, former Coronation Street regular Thelma Barlow and The League of Gentleman's Mark Gatiss have been confirmed for appearances in the next series of Doctor Who.
