An interview with David Beckham could not save Sharon Osbourne's ITV1 chatshow from a ratings drubbing from the returning Paul O'Grady on Channel 4 yesterday.O'Grady returned with his Channel 4 chatshow, slightly later than scheduled following his second heart attack in June, and yesterday pulled in 2.5 million viewers and a 21% audience share between 5pm and 6pm, according to unofficial overnights.

On ITV1 at the same time, The Sharon Osbourne Show was watched by 1.2 million viewers and attracted a 10% share.

In its final week on air during in June, The New Paul O'Grady Show averaged around 2 million viewers and a 17% share, up against live coverage of World Cup group stage matches on BBC1 and ITV1.

Also at teatime yesterday, BBC1's Neighbours won 2.6 million viewers and a 20% share; while on BBC2 The Weakest Link drew 2.3 million and 18%."

Although I think The New Paul O'Grady Show is miles better than The Sharon Osbourne Show, it doesn't beat The 5 O Clock Show in my opinion.

Speaking of ITV1's 5 O Clock timeslot, Coronation Street actor Bradley Walsh, who plays factory owner Danny Baldwin, is rumoured to be getting his own talk show. He was a good fill in host on Today With Des and Mel in my opinion. Another famous person rumoured to be getting their own talk show is Dame Edna Everage.
